Conférences / Workshops:
ESA Exploration Science Workshop 2026
ESA Exploration Science Workshop 2026, will take place 24–26 November 2026 at the Italian Space Agency (ASI) Headquarters in Frascati (Rome), Italy.
Hosted by ESA in collaboration with ASI, this is the second edition of the workshop, following the 2024 Warsaw event. Over the course of three days, it will bring together scientists, ESA Member State delegations, and industry partners for scientific exchange and strategic discussion across the full breadth of exploration science — Low Earth Orbit, the Moon, and Mars. The programme will include an update on ESA’s Explore2040 Strategy, the latest results from ESA Exploration Science activities, practical guidance on engaging with ESA, a dedicated early-career session, and ample opportunity for networking. A central aim of the event is to look ahead and to gather community-driven recommendations that will shape the next chapter of European exploration science.
Full event details and the preliminary programme are available here

This year, we will have a special focus on Astrobiology-related missions, with particular emphasis on the ExoMars Rosalind Franklin Mission. More details on abstract submission can be found here.
Early career support is available. This will include free EANA 2026 registration, and a one-year EANA membership will be offered to selected students. Depending on the country of residence, some financial support may also be provided (deadline for submission May 27).

EAI General Assembly, Strasbourg, 14-15 October 2026
EAI General Assembly will take place from 14-15 October 2026 in Strasbourg. The venue was chosen because of the proximity to the summer school “Mars and the Earthlings”. It is also the seat of the ESF which will also allow us to thank the staff members for their work during the last decade.
As you probably are aware of, Wolf Geppert tenure as the Chair of the EAI is coming to an end, since the statutes only allow 3 consecutive tenures as chair. Also, the vice-chairs Muriel Gargaud and John Brucato have decided not to stand for a renewal of the position. It is therefore necessary to elect a new chair and (at least) two vice-chairs. Please consider standing for this position and motivate apt candidates for those positions. Also, if you know somebody capable or even willing to stand for the above-mentioned positions please inform Wolf. Nominations can, according to the statutes be sent to the EAI Chair until 14 days before the General Assembly.

Diffusion vidéo d’exobiologie : A Quoi Ressemblent Les Extraterrestres ?
« A Quoi Ressemblent Les Extraterrestres ?!
